A shift needs cover at short notice — a worker calls in sick, or an open shift is still unfilled close to its start.
Nexrosta sends an SMS to the workers you choose to alert. A text gets read in situations where an app badge does not.
Workers pick the shift up through the open shift marketplace in the worker app — and the 14 conflict checks still run before it saves. Urgency does not switch off the checks.
The alert and the fill are recorded in the append-only audit log, like every other change to the shift.
